BCLK Values for M11X R3 BIOS A05 Overclocking (not R1/R2, the BCLK option exists only in R3)

in Bios A05 (and maybe before) in 'Advanced' tab when you enable 'Performance' option, you get another tab called BCLK.

Up to my knowledge, the BCLK tab exists only on the R3 version of M11X, not on R1/R2 which only have a single selectable 'overclock' option. It exists on M17X too, I believe.

In the BCLK screen pretty much all values are locked, EXCEPT New Frequency, which has a starting value of 9980 and New SSC with starting value of 32.

QUESTIONS (which was not answered anywhere on the web, only some inapplicable advice from R1/R2 users saying "just click on 'overclock'"):

    1. What is the connection between the two unlocked values, Frequency and SSC? Should they be increased by the same amount? Together? Or separate?

    2. What are the maximum values one SHOULD put for Frequency and SSC in order to have an overclocked but still stable machine which doesn't generate more than 10-15% heat than when in stock condition. (Yes, I know what are the " maximum' values in the BIOS for which these values can be set, I just don't want to experiment with different settings if someone out there already did it).

    thanks!

I've run my BCLK at the maximum value (103mhz) with my SSC at 0% (it seemed to cause me instability when I was messing with it) since a few weeks after I bought my R3 over two years ago.

Back then I looked up what SSC was, I don't remember what it was, either way I determined that it wasn't important to me.

As for stability a few times (over the years) it has frozen while idle, but I have no way of knowing if it's in any way related to the "overclock" (its such a tiny overclock lol) It's never frozen while playing games for hours on end, never overheated although I keep it clean, no problems.

This advice comes with no warranties or guarantees, good luck.

I have a M17X R4 and I have been trying to find out more about the performance option in the BIOS but I'm having trouble getting info about it. I have asked on alienware forum's but its like pulling teeth all I want to no is what the performance option can do. I don't want to go messing about with this without actually knowing what I'm doing.so any help would be appreciated
