Alright this is going to be my speaking thread about my new m11xr2 that I got about a week ago. I've been absent from the forums because, well, you know playing with it :D.

My initial problem is I cannot figure out why the battery indicator at the underside of the laptop won't work? it never lights up for some reason and I cannot figure out why.

But now I'm at work bored with my m11x and I would love to run some tests for you guys!

Firstly I would like to say that my m11x has no heat problem, (To my standards) and my keys do infact touch the lcd, but i kept the cloth that came with the laptop so I use that everytime I shut it, NBD.

Please post whatever you need me to test and I will get at it! :)

Also some pictures with my new setup! :) Not complete yet but still exciting!

    Nice looking setup!

Have you seen AlienFX Lite ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware/458528-alienfx-lite-linux-windows-alienfx-tool.html)? It lets you use different colors for each grill light, so you could set the left one to red and have it match the records :D

OT, how do you like those headphones? My Beyerdynamic DT770s are nearing the end of their life, and I need a closed-back, circumaural set to replace them.

As for the battery indicator, given that they're just hardware and not software, you might have to contact Dell to get a replacement.

Haven't got my machine yet but if you check the forums everyone is saying you have to push the battery button hard "like you mean it" to get it to work.

Nice setup btw making me anxious mine should be in my hands next week but dell site still shows "in production." In the age of mass production I do not feel it should take a month to build a machine ... damnit.

Well you must realize, it only takes 1-3 days to actually build the thing. But, Dell doesn't ship it immediately. They wait till they have a certain amount of stuff ready to be shipped before they actually ship it. (To reduce shipping costs.)

Thanks for the tips on the grill lights, ill probly do that!

Also the headphones died after exactly 1 year of use, the quality is ok, and the fit is really really tight on my head, and I am a really small guy. IMO if your looking for $100 dj headphones they are good, but if you want reliable headphones go for $200 dollar ones. Pioneer, Sony, Allen & Heath all good names to go with. My girl is buying me Allen & Heath Xone XD-53s for my birthday in a week so i'll have to update my pic xD.

Apparently Sony isn't that good but alot of people have them. Pioneers are amazing but I find them to flimsy even though they can take a real beating. The general feel just isn't me. All in all it's whatfeels good for you, I work for a DJ company right now so I test all kinds. Allen & Heath are my favorits so far.

Just got the battery light working and I also noticed that the FAN GLOWS?! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!

EDIT: You need to press the battery icon at the base of the notebook quite hard.

Sorry I embarrassed myself by thinking it didn't work.

Given you look like a bit of a muszo you may know what's cool in the way of external audio adapters given the M11x has Firewire/USB but no
    ExpressCard.

Ever tried Equation? I love mine, great sound and build quality. Removable cords are a nice feature. Otherwise man sweet set up , I had a black and silver set too! I just got rid of my 1200s, wish I had room all the time. I am thinking about getting a mini midi keyboard and Reason.
