    nVidia 266.58 driver
    Intel 2279 driver

After installing the current drivers, my battery life has decreased by quite a lot.

I used to get my discharge rate dip down to 8k-9k when I'm just typing on Microsoft word and such, and then go back up to 11k when I'm browsing.

After installing the latest drivers (2011 drivers in general), my discharge rate stays constant at 11k-12k and never dips down anymore.

Anyone else having the same problem? I also tried re-installing the OS as well, nothing helped.

    Thanks for the reply..

I actually saw the decrease when I updated my drivers from 2010 version (which ones I don't remember) a while back. So it's not necessarily caused by the 2279 and 266.58 drivers.

    Any ideas guys?
It just seems that the battery discharge rate does not dip down like it did before anymore (when idle). Intel SpeedStep is enabled fyi.

You can try completely uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers (choose clean install when the nvidia installer prompts you).

    Thanks for the reply.
However I already formatted my HD and reinstalled OS with newest drivers. Nothing changed. Haven't tried to install old drivers though.

Oops. Didn't read that last sentence. Have you tried going back to whatever previous version worked well to see if that gives you what you have before again? I haven't been using mine on battery much on these drivers, but I haven't noticed any decrease either. If the new drivers didn't greatly help performance for any of your games, you might be better off sticking to an older one for now.
