I would like a comparrison of the i5 / i7. Is the power of the SU enough for games? (WOW / SC2) Looking to upgrade Hard Drive regardless.

Google
edit: let me explain why my response is on the rude side. There are literally, right now, posts on the first page of this forum that you posted in with that information. -
I have seen an array of repsones for battery life that vary. I've seen several posts that list 5-7 hours with the i7. and 8+ with the i5 or 10+ with the SU. I know these are all low voltage CPU's and the integrated will easily increasing battery life. Just wondering what people here have with these.
My real question on this system is how the CPU handles games, i saw this CPU can be overlcoked to 2.8ghz on a single processor. But i'm more interested in how the dual core handles games.... -
I played BF2BC for 2 hour 20 mins on medium settings, with overclock and high settings the battery died in 2 hours... it is amazingly fast if you know how to optimize your OS...

Does SC2 has a demo , I can test it for you

There are literally dozens of reviews out on the internet that provide you information on battery life, gaming comparisons of the M11x R1 and M11x R2, and the overclockability of the CPU in the Alienware M11x. Anandtech has two articles that specifically talk about the M11x R1, and M11x R2.
Seriously, those internet resources will give you much better information than what someone could type in a forum posting. -
regular surfing / light surfing my battery reads 5 hrs and 17 minutes (batterybar). This is on power savings mode btw.

Really? Someone is reporting 10+ hours on an R1? Huh.
The reason that starting a brand new post about a topic that has already been discussed in depth is that it makes it extremely difficult for those that follow to find useful information. -
Plus...who would want to spend +20min per forum thread at work just trying to find an answer to battery longevity. /sarcasm off
Battery life on m11x?
