    So random question:

In order to protect the lifespan of my battery, I drained it to 40% and then when into the BIOS to set it not to charge when plugged in.

However, I've noticed over the past few weeks that despite it showing "plugged in, not charging," my battery state has steadily crept upwards. It now shows me at 69% capacity. Any idea what's going on here?

probably let few electrons slide by, to keep it refreshed, cause if it fully discharges, battery no like that.

wouldn't it be easier to just unplug it when you don't want to charge...?

then it would use battery... and replacing battery on m11x takes a bit of time and fiddling. He does not want it to charge, to reduce the discharge cycles, to increase lifespan of battery.

anyways, all my laptops were kept at 100% most of the time, unless i went somewhere without a socket with em. My asus 1000h which is from the times when asus actually had some sort of build quality, still holds charge perfectly fine.

Actually i never understood how batteries die for some people, only happened to my PSP cause i kept fully discharging it often, leaving it for over a month to just sit there, then charge when i wanted to play...

Even with charging disabled, it will slowly go up over time unfortunately. Nothing to prevent this unless the battery was removed from the system.
