    Hey guys,

My girlfriend who doesn't do any gaming just broke her HP laptop. She said she doesn't really care about getting a laptop but I want to surprise her with the M11x. I have the M15x and greatly enjoy the Alienware products. I am getting her an m11x because I want to be able to use it sometimes too =). I was wondering if anyone knows of the cheapest deal out there for an Alienware M11x. Trying not to spend an arm and a leg. I know the R1 U5400 series is going for $599. Any other really good deals? Thanks again

The U5400 is an R2 (same core as ULV i3/i5), and at $599 yes it is best bang for your buck. The CPU is close to R1 SU7300 though, so don't expect miracles when gaming.

Any chance of the older core2duo models showing up on the outlet for 599 or less?

Get her a r1, best battery life, and still a solid machine that works on lots of games if she does want to play something.

Keep looking at the outlet. I got mine there for just under $500 after tax. I've seen others there from time to time as well.
