    Hey guys,

I had McAfee total protection, which worked pretty good for me, but it prevented me from switching between the 2 GPUs on the m11x. Is there another program out there that will be more suited without having it be closed each time for gaming and will let me switch between the 2 GPUs without any problems?

I am looking at Eset......What do you guys think?

Try Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials. Both are free and use minimal resources, primarily are virus checkers and pretty good at that. If you want full protection then Eset or Avast purchased editions are good but to be honest I almost feel its a waste of money, just go with the free versions. Do an occasional scan with Malwarebytes anti-malware which is free also.

Yeah I want the total protection and Ive never really been comfortable with free software. Will Avast or Eset have any problems with GPU switching though?

I use kaspersky internet security, seems to be working great and no conflicts with gpu switching.

The free versions offer no less protection than the paid for versions (in terms of virus protection). The Paid for versions normally offer extra features that you may never use or just use up system resources for no reason at all (Norton POS 360).

I use Avast on all of my PC's and it works without any GPU switching issues on the M11x. I did try Security essentials but I wasn't happy with the random cpu usage spikes (something which doesn't happen with Avast).

What I meant by full featured is like spam protection, firewall, etc in addition to anti-virus. Free versions of anti-virus are jus anti-virus but are full protection for that.
