What is the BEST memory (price not an issue) to overclock the M11x R1 with?

I had 8GB G.Skill in there prior to OC, but had to revert back to the stock Micron that came with it, but only 4GB. But works like a charm so far @ CAS6 266MHz. Would prefer 8GB but I guess that's the sacrifice I'll have to make unless I go with Kingston HyperX for ~ $100 if lucky enough to find it on sale and in stock.

So Kingston HyperX is the best? Newegg a decent place to find it?

Either ajslay. I planned on Pin Modding but I want RAM that can handle the highest overclock.

I forgot to mention a case of beer or box of wine won't hurt either. At least for after the fact to calm your nerves.

Now back ON TOPIC, I had to pull my 8GB G.Skill since it wouldn't work with my 1.73GHz OC so maybe sell that and get some 8GB of that Samsung. :D

None determined so far. Only thing so far is the hacked BIOS update to push the voltage from 0.90v to 0.95v. Gives a moderate boost to the GPU core.

Get sum Valium/Diazepam. Steady hand, all the patience in the world and you wont care if you brick your new Lappy :D

Also isn't the samsung RAM you just purchased the same RAM you get in the machine from stock??

So if one has Samsung PC3-8500F(533 MHz) memory, that's not good then?

200–533 MHz I/O clock is the peak of DDR2... how sad is that.

That's good. I have the 1333mhz version in my R2 but the 1066mhz version consistently clocks over 1000mhz, with a sample of 3 kits.

I like good, but I don't fully understand the whole memory thing yet.

Where was I.??. oh yes. So I'm reading DDR3 Wikis and JEDEC standard white papers and etc.

Now onto Column Address Strobe (CAS) and hopefully should have it sorted in the next few hours.

Well, maybe a better idea of what everyone else is talking about at least. :)

    Cheers dude.
