I was just wondering what program you guys were using to overclock your GPU. I just started using EVGA but I wanted to here your opinions on which one is the best.

So far my stable settings are: 530/1290/810
I've seen that people are getting stability at settings much higher than these. Is it a case of each GPU being different and mine just can't man up and take any higher settings?

    Thanks

Most people are using EVGA Precision.

Is it necessary to overlock the GPU? Is it common for somebody to overclock it?

It will depend on the game and your performance expectations. The M11x is fast for its form factor, but not actually that fast. You can see a 20%+ increase by overclocking both the CPU and GPU depending on the game.

I prefer Nvidia System Tools. Never used EVGA, but they are basically the same thing. It's what I used when I was benching the M11xR1
