I'm thinking of buying an M11x just because it would be so much easier to carry around with me than my M18x.

One question I have, which might have been answered somewhere here already is what's the best RAM I can put in the little monster? I guess it would be cheaper to upgrade myself instead of buying it from Dell.

Can it handle the same 1866MHz HyperX that my M18x has? I'd be getting only 8GB though. The CPU I would pick is the i5.

I asked the same question in my purchase post and it was confirmed that PnP RAM as with most will run but it will not be able to run over 1333mhz.

I was considering HyperX if it could but decided to stick with the 4GB 1333 Dell offer as it would not be worth it.

More important is an SSD especially as it can handle SATA III I am considering an upgrade from SATA II.

    I upgrade my m11x with 8gb Corsair 1333mz 2x4gb, it will support only 1333mhz but like i understand,it will run 1866MHz ram, but only @ 1333mhz. you understand what i mean :D

Max supported is 1333MHz, you can put higher RAM in there, they will throttle down to that speed and also drop their timings down to match. My Kingston Hyper-X 1600MHz run @ 8-8-8-23 rather than the stock 9-9-9-24 since they've been throttled down.

with 1866MHz throttled down you're probably looking at CL7 timings.

Also, the M11x R3 has no XMP profiles, so pnp would be your best bet.
