Bluetooth problem with the Razer Orochi

So, I use the wired mode on the orochi alot so I didnt really use the bluetooth, but just today I tried to connect the bluetooth between the orochi and the mouse and for some reason it just keeps disappearing whenever I pair it up in my Devices and printer area. So I did some digging around and apparently someone found a solution apparently the problem was because I paired it up with more then one computer (my macbook and the m11x) ,so the mouse basically thought whenever I connected it to my m11x I was connecting to my macbook, and the only solution is to connect to the macbook disconnect and reconnect to the m11x, but it just so happens my macbook broke down, so exactly how would I delete the onboard memory so it believes its connecting to a computer for its first time ever? Or is this a notebook problem?

 

Hazarding a guess here but could you try and update the firmware on the orochi? - that should wipe its on board memory and hopefully solve your problem

 

Hmm, I also had this problem of the Orochi Mouse disappearing after a few seconds when connected with Bluetooth. I eventually gave up on it. I mainly use the mouse with a Mac Mini that I use as a media PC, and it never has any problems there. Ill give it a shot disconnecting from the Mac Mini.

 

I have this mouse and haven't had any problems with it. After a few seconds of inactivity it goes into a sleep mode, and it takes a half second when you start moving it again to kick back in. That's not the fault of the Razer Orochi, that's just how Bluetooth works in general. (Though it does sleep way too quick) I don't use it wirelessly anymore because of this. :/

 

Got it fixed, to fix it well i did this on the notebook windows side, but what you do is at the last section of the driver, set Everything to default then delete all the profiles you have on the mouse after that set the profile to default as well. After that every setting on the mouse will be at factory setting thus allowing you to reconnect to bluetooth

 

I also recommend you update the orochi's firmware. It was doing all sorts of crazy crap until I did that. Plugging it into the pc and then trying to get the included software to work, it just kept failing to recognise the mouse was there.

It's an excellent mouse after the firmware update.

You only need to pair it with another BT adapter to fix it.

 

sorry to resurrect this thread but i recently had this problem - the "add a bluetooth device" application on windows would freeze at connecting to device so i couldn't connect the mouse via bluetooth

I found a fix but i have no idea how or why it works only that it does. I paired the mouse with a ps3 and then deleted the pairing. then i tried again on my laptop and it worked... wierd. Anyway hopefully someone out there finds this helpful

I am having a very similair problem. I have a m17x and the bluetooth razer orochi mouse. It has been working just fine, up untill a few weeks ago. I always use the wireless option, hell idk where the cable is anymore. The mouse itself is a little more than 2 years old. Anyways, it started to just drop off for no reason at all, the mouse would still be on. I checked in Devices and Printers and it wasn't there. So I added it back in and then closed it thinking it was done. Then my mouse worked for a bit and then dropped again. So I added it back and kept the window open. After a handful of seconds the image of the mouse in Devices and Printers would change to a keyboard and then disappear from the list. I tried a plethora of things like, restarting my computer, reinstalling the bluetooth drivers, turning the mouse off and on, replacing the batteries in the mouse. Then it worked for like a day. Now nothing I do can make the mouse even work at all. All that happens is the image changes from the mouse to the keyboard and then disappears. If anyone has any ideas I would love the help. I am looking else where and if I find anything out I will post back with regards.

did you see my post above? try paring the mouse with another device (i.e. a PS3) then try again with the computer. No idea how it works but mines been fine sinse

 

I did download updates from Orochi, but I still was not able to use Bluetooth. My fix was to go to Bluetooth devices, right click on Razer mouse to properties to hardware to driver. Uninstall at bottom. I restarted, connected the usb cable. Windows reinstalled and Bluetooth connected.

 

This worked for me as well. If that doesn't do it try re-installing the Bluetooth driver as well.
