Im gonna buy a M11x real soon, prefering the SU7300 CPU, 4G RAM, the rest is as low as possible. I got some questions:
    1. How could i get the lowest price with the above config?
    2. Should i wait for another refresh, maybe a better hinge - screen - GPU etc...? I can wait for a maximum of 2months.
    Thanks so much :)

Look at the Dell Outlet. They're refurbs with a 1 year warranty, but you can get a 3 year warranty as well.
    Dell Factory Outlet

The cheapest M11x I saw with those specs was $769.

Also, apply this coupon code for an additional 20% off

Buy a refurbished Alienware M11x R1. You won't find cheaper than that.

And don't bother waiting for a refresh. They will definitely not come out with a refresh within 2 months. I would be surprised if they came out with one in the next year.

Might be different circumstances. Unless a sea change in cpu's is in the offing (remember the whole "i" series release occurred after the introduction of the M11x) I wouldn't expect to see a major revision anytime real soon. HOWEVER, if something 'big' is about to change, the time to get it out there would be in advance of the holiday season...soooo roll the dice.

I say go for the Dell Outlet as well. I just ordered mine on Saturday and it should be here tomorrow. I grabbed an i7, 4g, black config just like I wanted. It comes with a 250gb drive but I'm putting in an old 640gb drive that I already have on hand.

New pricing (I had no coupons) was about 1250 or so if I rememebr right.

Outlet price (with a coupon similar to the one mentioned above) was $850.

So for about 2/3 the price I decided to order on a whim. My biggest worry is the hinge issue. I kinda know what to expect performance wise since I've had so many laptops from large DTR SLI models all the way down to netbooks.

I bought mine last night, with 20% discount plus $50 off. I got the m11xr1 and only paid $56 extra to get 4gb of ram. It came out to $645 and would have been just $589 with only 2gb ram. Here is my invoice. It was $702 after tax and shipping. WooHoo! can't wait to get it. I went to the delluniversity.com website to get the 20% off Alienware. and then searched for an epp $50 dollar discount code. It expires on the 30th of this month though for the extra $50. Who knows though, maybe they will come out with another $100 discount coupon. They did have a $100 off of a $1,000 or more system.

Well the day after I receive my refurbished m11x c2d w/ 2gb, 160gb hdd for $670 tax and all I can now get one brand new with the same specs for less money! I guess it's not worth going through the trouble now few scratch's on the top lid but it works great, no issues so I guess I should just be satisfied.

This is a work laptop but still feel like I should get the new one for less lol. Wonder if Dell Outlet would work with a price adjustment if the refurbished units go down?

I feel your pain of "wasting" money but I would just be happy with what you got. There will ALWAYS be better deals out there and it changes from day to day. Who knows, the"new" unit could have a bunch of problems that your current one does not.

The company I work for sell a lot of Dell equipment to clients to run our application software. A long time ago, I saw an EPP deal like this and found I was eligible. On the other hand, if you see an EPP deal that appeals to you, go ahead and try to get it. You might be successful, then you would be set for any future deals.

    I got an outlet M11xR2

    i5, 4gig ram 1333, 250 hdd.. I think blue tooth.

    The outlet price was 939.00 then - 20%= 751.20
Due to the fact a rep was very rude.. I complained and they gave me an extra 100.00 off.

Tax is 72.70 and $8 for recycling fee. out the door with 209 for extended 2 year accident warranty.. 1040.?? ( minus the 100 ) 940.??

Was that ok of a deal?

The breakdown of the 1040 consists of ( per dell rep's )
    391.20 for the laptop/netbook
    577 for the warranty
    72.70 for the tax
    8 recycling fee of screen

    hmm.

This is a good deal except the waranty since it costs more than the comp u could buy another one without worrying about the warranty
