OK Heres the deal. I need some data from any i7 M11x R2 user that is willing to help.

Hopefully Batboy will help me out here..

I need any (even multiple) i7 M11x R2 user that is willing to do so, run the same tests M15x users run to test throttling.
That would be running Furmark (PostFX / Xtreme Burn) + Prime95 (8 cores/small FFTs) at the same time. If you could run it for 10 or so minutes.
Have GPUZ open graphing the GPU data and at the end please take a screenshot of the GPUZ over the Furmark so both graphs can be seen.
You shouldn't have a problem with temps, however its always a good idea to keep an eye on them and if needed stop the testing process if temps soar too high.

The point of this is to prove that throtting with this intensity will not happen just because this is a laptop portable system and that none of thier other products throttle as well. I already seen these models handle this but input from the community would be better.
The reasoning I am working closely with Dell engineers to hopfully fix the M15x throttling problem. This data will help greatly!

Everyone that is willing I Thank you and Im sure many other M15x owners will too.

Here is a link to the thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...e-investigation-stock-clocks-overclocked.html

Instructions are: Get Furmark and Prime95 32bit
    - Settings:
    • Furmark: Native resolution (for me it's 1600x900), 16xAA, checkmark the stability test box, checkmark the xtreme burn button and also checkmark the post processing button.
    • GPU-Z: Have it open with the sensor tab selected so you can monitor the clock fluctuations in real time. Also checkmark the continous refreshing box + the log to file box so you can reference it later.
    • Prime 95: Small TFTs, 8 threads. (or whatever your CPU Supports)
    • RealTemp: Use it to measure and log CPU frequency changes (as well as view the active load). Use the logs from this program and compare them to the GPU-Z log.
