    Can I trust Dell?

    My parents said they would my me a laptop for christmas and i have investigated and the best laptop for me would be the M11x however my family, and it seems, many others have had issues with dell in the past and are unwilling to go for a dell. Can you give me advice about dell and tell me weather or not it is a good idea. Dell quality seems to vary in between near-perfect and infuriatingly rubbish.
    If you do not think it is a good idea what other laptops would you recceomend for around the same price as a completely unupgraded m11x which performs the same functions?
