    Hello,
After purchasing a m11x r1 it pressing fn + F6 does nothing, is something meant to come up? i have reinstalled the latest beta drivers and still nothing. Maybe its missing drivers? Device manager comes up fine.

Ok first up M11x R1 or R2? (This has to be asked as you don't mention which in your post).

Going with the assumption that you have a R1 could you check the following:

    - On boot hit F2 (at the alienhead screen) and see in the bios that your graphics are set to switchable
    - Please confirm what you mean by the latest "Beta" drivers (direct from Dell or direct from Nvidia).
    - Have you tried the 197.72 drivers direct from dell? If not try these as I found them perfectly stable.

If you are trying to run the latest beta drivers from Nvidia (ignoring any compatability issues) then you will lose the switchable ability on the R1 as these drivers are for the Nvidia card only (the method of switching has to be intagrated into the drivers themselves).

If however you have a R2 then there is no manual switching ability, everything is controlled via the Nvidia control panel with switching occurring automatically when a 3D program is detected (albeit as long as it added to the "white list").

Check your Intel sticker....does it say i5 or i7? If it does, then that's the reason why nothing happens. Optimus does it automatically...

For resetting the BIOS password, you are going to need to reach out to Dell. There are too many shady people out there for information on how to do that to be made readily available on a forum like this (read that in another thread).
