Hey everyone, I just got my m11x R2 today everything is fine except one thing. While I am in game (counter-strike 1.6) and I switch back to windows (for firefox, itunes etc) I can not go back into the game anymore. The game doesn't pop up and I have to close it using task manager. I always need to switch between counter-strike and firefox. Anyone know how to solve this?

0773 - Memory mgmt, processor utilization. Please take this with positive intent... This sub-notebook size machine is one task atta time kinda machine in reference to gaming. It doesnt have enough juice to play call of duty modern warfare 2, whilest playing itunes, whilest surfing net, whilest running office. If you are doing non-cpu/memory intensive activites you can multi-task. If you are gaming, turn all the other stuff off. You will get more performance and will have a better gaming experience.

    Best Wishes,

    StevenX

The only problem with that idea is he specified it happens with cs 1.6, which is a ten year old game....You know, back when 1gb of ram was great, nevermind 1gb of ram dedicated to the video card. Cs 1.6 actually takes less cpu and memory than Firefox (although what doesn't take less memory than FF? lol).

0773, I launched cs 1.6, alt-tabbed out to use the optimus tool to make sure the 335m was on (it was), then was able to get back in fine. My best guess is it's something with your Steam or Windows configuration because it's not the machine. You might be better off contacting Steam.

edit: another idea: You may also try going to the nVidia control panel, choose to view 'advanced settings', click 'manage 3d settings', click the 'global settings' tab, and play around with whatever is different between integrated and the 335m (there is a button to restore the defaults right below the options, so oyou don't have to worry about messing it all up). TBH, I really don't see any setting that would cause that issue, but given that it works with Integrated and not the 335m, maybe it's something there.
