    Before this laptop overclocked great...

The i7 went all the way to 166
    The gpu went to 550 / 920

    Gave a 3dmark score of 8.2k

Since the last tech visit (the guy who broke my keyboard....) it's not OCing so well..

    EDIT: It's the shaders...

They wont go higher than 1260, (same as syncing with a core of 525)

Core is fine at 550. Memory fine at 900.

Any ideas how to fix it ?? I wanna run the 2 in sync.

Did you test to make sure it was stable before?

Meant to say 550 not 450 (which is stock)

Yea it was stable before. Passed 3dmark multiple times.

    Starcraft 2 didn't crash.

Hmm, I was using MIS afterburner before though. Switched to EVGA precision...

    Let me try changing back...

did you change drivers? one driver might have one stable OC while another drive might have a different one. Im not sure by 30mhz but its a possibility i suppose. OC stability is like rolling the dice though I was blessed with an awesome GPU and i'm stable at 560/1400/920 for games.. but I can run a 3dmark06 at 585/1490/930

Holy that's beast!!!!! With that kinda OC, it prolly beats a stock gt435m lol

Which driver are you running ?

I found out something, its not the core clock, its the shaders...

550 on the core is fine (have not tried higher, dont plan to)

But the shaders don't wanna go higher than 1260.

If you sync shaders to a core of 525, you get 1260

    EDIT: Memory fine at 900

On my M11xR1 I used to be able to clock my GPU Memory Clock to 910Mhz and have it stable throughout 3DMark06 using M11xR1 BIOS A01 and nVidia Dell 197.12 P03 Beta.

Now I can only get Memory Clock to remain stable at 890Mhz throughout 3DMark06 using BIOS A05 and Dell nVidia 197.72 A01

I'm not sure if this is because of M11xR1 BIOS A05 compared to M11xR1 BIOS A01. I did roll back to lower versions of Dell nVidia drivers, but the results were the same with Memory Clocking above 890Mhz failing almost immediately in 3DMark06.

I did not roll back to M11xR1 BIOS A01 as I wasn't to worried about the whole situation. More like a note to self, memory clock now 890Mhz and not 910Mhz, does this apply to other people using M11xR1 BIOS A05.
