That is a fantastic deal. A price truly lower than many netbooks. If anyone were on the fence about picking up an M11x I think that 439.99 would hurl them over.

considering the newer dual core netbooks with ion are going for around $500, id say its priced fairly.

Not to get off topic but ion 2 performance doesn’t really compete with a 335m. The big selling point of ion is that you can offer a slimmer chasse. As the ion 2 is less powerful it requires less energy and in turn there is less fan noise.

Put simply, $439 is a steal for someone looking for a powerful and portable computer capable of some serious gaming.

They've put the price up so that the cheapest the refurbs are now are $649.95 before the 20% off, so actually its not cheaper than it was before as they did a $499 deal last week. Or am i wrong and if so please show me where as i'm waiting for another < $500 deal.
It's a pretty sneaky tactic i think by dell, to the average customer who doesn't look for vouchers and things they'll just buy the new ones for $599

Also just to say i'm a first time poster but a long time lurker, big fan of the site!

I just got an R1 last week at the $609 price before the 20% coupon. Was like $508 after tax (free shipping). It had 160gb 5400rpm HDD, 4GB ram

Registered it to my dell account and it also had 3 years warranty :D

I just picked up a referb R2, i5 with 4gig ram, bluetooth for $639.20 and free 2day shipping a few days ago. Should arrive tomorrow. I was on the fence about the outlet stuff until I noticed that the warrenty was the same for a new one and I can live without the "new box packaging." Hope I got a good deal.
