When it comes to this area I am quite ignorant. I'd like to flash my spd and changes my timings to get better quality video/music products after my renderings and right now don't have the cash for 8GB. So I know taiphoon needs a 32bit system so would it be possible to run windows 7 32bit in a VM or linux 32bit? Following that answer I'll look up a guide on changing timings/flash the spd.

    Thanks

    Hi,

A virtual Machine is not possible because you dont have access DIRECT to the Ram.

(I am using Thiphoon Burner 7.X under Windows 7 64bit - WITHOUT any problems!)

--> but you have to get the Full-Version to have the "write-new timings-to-ram" feature.

    Well ......
I was just on the way to create one - but i crashed my RAM - now i have to wait for the new one bevor i can make some screenshots .

I already lookt out for one - but i cannot find any ;-(

    Is your M11x stable @ 175 Mhz ?!

I dont think you can go much forward...... maybe 180....?!

    BUT:

you have to slow down your RAM-timings... so you will get about 50Mhz more but your RAM-performance ist going to be slow.....
and you might crash your ram .....like me ;-(

Yeah its stable. Ran 30 passes of intel burn. I basically want RAM mods for improvements in Video/Music editing for my classes next semester.

Haha this is why I want a guide.

    Hi,

I think it would be better to buy some "aggressiv" RAM with some impressiv timings.....

I think you would only get a performance-boost of apprx. 1-4 % with your ram.....
