I think the game thinks I'm trying to use DX11, as I know the m11x only supports dx10.
Is there a way to force dx10? It just hangs with a black screen. When I check task manager to kill the app, it says that it's running in DX11.

Actually, it appears to be hanging when running DX9 as well. HHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMM

What Nvidia drivers do you have? I had some issues with this game until I installed 270.61. The r3 supports DX11, but DX10 should still work on the other versions.

Latest driver. 275.33

Ah, yeah when I updated to that I couldn't play Civ 5 anymore, so I rolled back. Kinda sucks though as it's the only game that gave me issues, but I like it a lot. There's another thread around here about some different options you can try, like editing the config file to prevent the intro video from loading. It worked for some people. I'll see if I can dig the posts up.

Much appreciated
