Just a thread for helpful cleaning tips for the M11x or notebooks in general.

I use an air duster (compressed air) to clean my keyboard and dust in the proximity of my notebook. And I also use a screen cleaner (micro-fiber cloth and cleaning solution).

I specifically want to know how I can clean the dust out of the glossy strip that runs across the top of the keyboard with the alien head power button in the middle of it? Can I remove the glossy strip and disassemble it safely? Secondly, any tips on cleaning the keyboard/mouse from the dirt that accumulates (usually sweat that dries. Yes, I know, disgusting ;P)

Do you use your M11x as a dinner table?

Perhaps you could look @ laptop vacuums?

Just don't make the same mistake as I did and order one from Ebay (China). They sent me a POS vacuum that would suck up the dirt and shoot it allover the place so it would make a big mess :p

The quality ones have a small enough intake tube to clean between/under the keys, touchpad and vent. You could probably clean the laser hole at the bottom of a mouse too.

I gave up trying to keep my m11x sparkling clean after dust started to gather at the plastic strip. It's impossible to get rid of dust there, also I'm too cheap to buy a vacuum :D

Wait so am I the only one who uses my computer in a dust free vacuum?

On a related note, I just picked out a popcorn kernel from my teeth, but the last time I had popcorn was like a week ago....
