I sold my m11x on ebay, and I need to do a factory reset, I want to set it to the way I got it when I first opened it, all the default settings and what not. How do I do a factory reset? I tried the Dell Safe application, I can't find it on my computer. Nor can I find Alienware Respawn. I might have deleted that. :\

Buy an external DVD drive and reinstall that way, or dump your CD to a USB stick for reinstall.

you need to boot from the recovery partition, to do a factory reset.

You copy the files from the CD to your USB (using another computer with a CD driver)

Use the USB on the m11x and do a reset.
