    My options for the money I have, please help me choose!

    8GB DDR3
    640GB 7200rpm HD

    or

    i5 Processor
    4GB DDR3
    500GB 7200rpm HD

    or

    i7 Processor
    4GB DDR3
    320GB 7200rpm HD

    I7 for sure
    HDD is enought and an external can always be used
    4GB can easily be upgrade for just under $100 down the road

    thanks for your advice, really! I'll get the i7, 4gb ram, 320gb hd. It sounds practical. I didnt know if it was possible to upgrade the ram later, but im assuming it is. hd can always be upgraded later too, right? plus im only "planning" to play a couple games + online poker + photoshop on this baby.

    so just to confirm, i can go out an buy the compatible ram and upgrade to 8gb?

    Id personally go for the i5, as the only difference between the i5 and i7 is slightly less clock speed, but same cores/threads. It also depends what your gonna be doing. The su7300 is also a nice cpu for gaming with the 335m, and the r1 will last almost twice as long as the r2 on a single charge. Id save the money $175 from the i7 and get the i5 and invest that in an ssd.
