Earlier on I connected the R2 to my HDTV via HDMI cable. Once connected, my TV gave me the error message:

'Can not display this mode. Change computer display input to 1680x1050 at 60Hz'

Any idea how I do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so i just went into display settings and the highest possible resolution is 1366 x 768... duh.

So does this mean it's impossible to connect my R2 to the HDTV?

Try changing the res to 1280x720

Good thinking but it didn't work unfortunately. I also tried all the other resolution presets with no luck.

I had no trouble connecting my m11x to my tv over hdmi. Connecting it up just worked. Some tvs require you to connect to a specific hdmi port. In addition, I recommend running the laptop monitor as primary and tv as the secondary monitor, at least until you get things working on the tv. Right click the desktop, chose Screen Resolution and it should show you both monitors. You can change the res here independently for each monitor. Make it a known res for your tv first, then venture to others. Known res for your tv will be in its manual.

Ok I have my TV connected via HDMI right now and am seeing the same error message on my TV.

But when I click detect in the screen resolution window it says 'Another display not detected'.

I dunno. I'm guessing my Tv just isn't compatible?

Have you tried disabling the laptop screen and setting the resolution the TV is asking for?
