Ive had this computer since christmas, it seems as if almost everything has gone wrong except the hinges. Anyone have these problems?

    1. When I log into windows its a black screen...just black, sometimes with a cursor.

    2. My system restore files KEEP ON CORRPUTING, I go system resume and it goes to a black screen with a blinking line

    3. System seems a bit slow

Anyone know whats causing this? Ive gone thru 3 anti viruses and did an extended pre-boot assessment, anyone know what to do?

you need to do a fresh install of windows, not asystem restore, and if your using a uxtheme patch file thats known to cause a black screen upon logging in.

i highly doubt its a hardware issue, i had the same problem, i just restored the patched theme files back to the original and deleted the current theme that was applied on my account, all done from safe mode.
    if thats your issue.

Sweet, I need to get a bigger USB drive or other such flash drive, is the patched theme file located anywhere? As much as I like to think im tech oriented, I know very little

did you use the universal theme patcher or Uxstylecore BETA to use custom themes?

hmm.. that doesnt sound good, go to the dell website and install the newest gpu driver. and when installing select custom installation, and hit the clean install check on the bottem.

Ok, this is unfortunate. The Freezing is happening again (seemingly random) and when I power up my computer and I log on it goes to a black screen with a cursor, I have not waited to see what will happen. The Graphics Card switching works now
