Hiya! I'm a bit new to these forums(as a poster). I was originally considering getting an M17x R3 as my main computer, but I ran into some financial trouble.
So I'm looking at an M11x R2. I was thinking about getting the i7 version when a deal becomes available.(Unless someone can convince me that an R1 will meet my game needs).
It'll mainly be used for gaming and school work. I usually play Action MMO's: Vindictus, Tera Online, Continent of the Ninth. The M11xR2 should work fine for these, right?![]()
The two games that I'm hoping I'll be able to play smoothly are Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Do you think the M11x will be up to playing these? I know it's still too early to judge since these games are months away, but I'd like some thoughts and input on this.![]()
I'm sorry if threads like these are becoming a nuisance, but I really need some input. Thanks in advance to those who look and post. Any help is greatly appreciated.![]()

I played Vindictus on my R2, you have to scale it down while in town because of all the people, but in the dungeons there are less people running around so it goes pretty smoothly from there. As for playing GW2 and Skyrim... you'd probably be able to play it but prepare to tweak the graphics down

Ah, thanks for the reply. I had a feeling that GW2 and Skyrim would need some tweaking to run smoothly. I think I'll go ahead and order an R2 later this week. Thanks again for the reply.

I think the M11x will struggle with all new games on the horizon. It needs upgrades. Or better yet, a M13x is what Alienware should release if they are smart.
