So my m11x case is a little loose around the front where the mouse pad is and to the corner of the left side by where the plastic lights are, there is some flex and it is not flush. So naturally I squeeze it. When I do the computer shuts of instantly. its an area 1 1/2 inch between the side and mouse pad about a half an inch from front.

Your blutooth and CMOS battery are in that location. Also your memory on the bottom side. Something probably came loose when the laptop was dropped or your palmrest screws are too loose.

You should probably tighten the palmrest screws and test if you can still duplicate the problem. If so, then check and reseat those components.

No, it never fell. Hmm. Good to know the location of the stuff... I will see if I can tighten. Issue is I'm afraid if I tighten it will duplicate the problem. I don't want to short it.

I would work from assumption of a short and do a full teardown CSI style. If its just loose parts they will reveal themselves. Plus, you can do some cleaning.
