My LED comes only with a DVI(single link). I have bought an adapter to connect it to display port. I am able to connect the LED monitor, but all I see is a white screen with nothing displayed on it. Must I use a dual link DVI cable?

I've heard that 30" displays need dual link DVI, but small screens do not.

What size, brand, model # do you have?

erm... mine is an 18.5 acer g195HQL. Could it be the GPU? I think it is on the integrated. I tried to switch to the Nividia one but I couldnt find any options to do so.

If you have an M11xR1, the DisplayPort only works in discrete (Nvidia) mode. You can activate it two ways - by pressing FN+F6 (Binary GFX) or by right-clicking the icon in the system tray and choosing performance mode.

R2, just plug it in. The Intel GPU controlls all of the outputs, while the nVidia GPU can step in to render games :D (on demand)

on the R2, the nVidia GPU is attached ONLY to the Intel GPU, and doesn't have any outputs of it's own.

I dunno. I never had this issue...

Check the Intel GMA driver control panel for any info? I'm sorry, I'm kinda not thinking well at this hour...
