Hi, I'll buy a M11x r3 in a few months, but maybe they will announce / release a new one soon, I'd like to know the dates of the announcement and / or release of the older revision (r1, r2, r3). To see if a future announcement is plausible soon.

Intel might release Ivy Mobile CPU in Q2 2012. I can't tell when the R11x R4 will be release :(. Correct me if i'm wrong but right now R3 use last high end ULV intel cpu. Might need to wait next cpu generation...

I would have awnsered better if WIKIpedia was up( Go free internet!!)

    Right now best R11x R3 Cpu is the Intel® Core™ i7-2617M Processor
(4M Cache, 1.50 GHz) and it came out 1 year ago.

    Intel® Core? i7-2617M Processor (4M Cache, 1.50 GHz)

The only better cpu i found is the 2677M which is only a little more fast.

Not sure when the next intel chipset come out

I saw on internet that ivy bridge is coming early april. For the intel i3 i5 and i7 2nd generation it was released on January and the r3 was announced on april, don't know if this time the release will be earlier or not, I'd like to know if AW even plan to release a r4 :/
