Hi all, just wondering if anyone can help with a battery problem.

I glanced at Battery Bar and it says that I have ~60,000 of ~63000 battery left (pretty normal), but the Battery Wear states 0% of 43600. It used to say I had 0% of ~63000.

I've also tried AIDA64 (Everest) which also reports the same values. the Windows battery icon says I have 4:48 remaining which seems normal.

Any ideas on the cause? I am assuming that I haven't lost a cell or anything, as I still have a normal capacity. It's just this lower value in the wear status worries me. Is there any cause for concern regarding charging, or capacity in the future, or is it some sort of glitch I can safely ignore?

    Thanks all.

BatteryBar was telling me more or less the same thing for about a day a while back, but it's fine now. I don't think it's anything to be worried about.

That is weird. Probably just a glitch.

Try shutting down the laptop, and starting it up again from cold boot (not just a Restart). Your battery life is 4:48, which is absolutely on par with what you should be getting. If your battery capacity actually did drop down to 43K, then your battery life would drop from 4:48 --> ~3:00. Since this is not happening, your actual battery is fine... the problem is in the software reporting.

Thanks guys, panic over. I left I left the laptop on overnight on maximum power saving settings to discharge it a bit, then did a cold start as suggested, and it seems fine now. Strange!
