I noticed in the video below that the M11x (unlike the M17x) does not come with a protective sleeve of any kind when shipped in the box.
I'm afraid those Styrofoam wedges can scratch it!

They should ship it with some soft cloth.

    Anyone?

They should all be shipped in a protective black soft fabric pouch.

While I appreciate that they bothered to provide something protective, I don't think the cloth sleeve was intended for use beyond packaging.

I use it with my 17x and 11x. The 17x I have had for over a year now and the bag is fine. Its a bit of a pain to bag it, however if you choose not to invest in a neoprene style sleeve it certainly is fine for protecting the system.

Up to you of course. ;)

Well, your title talks about the R2, this m11 has VGA port, so the one on the video is the R1. Maybe in the video there is no sleve because maybe he opened it, test it, then he put all the stuff of the m11x back to the box, and finally he recorded the video (obviously if he did that, he may forgot to put the sleve on the m11x)

Yes, that video is a re-unboxing. Mine came with the sleeve and I do use it to put my m11xr2 into it whenever i'm not using it.

My R1 came with the soft cloth sleeve, and so far it seems fine to use beyond unboxing. I use it as an extra layer of protection in my laptop case. The inside is incredibly smooth. I have the top of the sleeve folded, so I can just pull my m11x straight out of the sleeve and case as if the sleeve wasn't even there.
