Hey all, I've been poking around a lot and I haven't been able to find anything, but unclewebb said you might be able to help:

    • Is there anyway to disable the power limiting that occurs on the M11x R3 Sandy Bridge processor?
    • Such as by enabling the editing of the Turbo Ratio Limits?
    • Or perhaps through an unlocked BIOS?
I feel like it was very silly for Dell to lock the R3 into throttling when it draws too much power...it's a gaming laptop after all! Facepalm! Anyways, thanks for any help.

I believe that the unlocked BIOS will do the trick for you, let us know the outcome.

Thanks, Davy and Porras! I see that the PowerSaver C0% is unlocked - just keep that at zero, right? Is that all or did I miss something?

Edit: just took a look in the BIOS, looks like there is a lot to play around with. Has anyone written up a guide or anything? Thanks so much! This is very exciting :)

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I haven't done much to figure out how this thing works. I will report back soon! (In a new thread)
