    Hello there! I have a M11x R2.

I have a quick question. Would it be possible for me to disable the Intel GPU entirely, and only use the Nvidia 335M one? I have so many problems with applications such as Vue 9 xStream and 3DS Max 2011 which are almost impossible to use because of the problems, customer support from several different sources told me about how the problem lies within something caused by Optimus and recommended that I turn of the integrated GPU. I really don't care anymore about battery life.

    Thanks! :)

Makes my screen go black and I have to slam down the computer to see again, not the desired effect. :)

no you can not disable the IGP entirely, with Optimus ( of which I no longer tolerate ) your discreet card renders the image then hands it off to the IGP to actually display it. the current Optimus implementation is causing issues with MANY high end applications, games with Punkbuster

and is completly unusable in Linux.

what you CAN do though is disable 335 and run strictly on the IGP

Sorry OP but Nvidia needs to fix its drivers of which they " say " should be soon but it has been 4 months for them to fix smaller issues.

The closest you can do is go to the nvidia control panel -> manage 3d settings -> global settings and change the preferred graphics processor. This, in effect, whitelists everything, but all still has to go through the IGP.
