Hey all! I've been having problems with my display ever since I got my hinges replaced. I'm not sure if it's a hardware problem of a software problem because around the same time, I also installed new graphics drivers. Installing older drivers did nothing, so I'm starting to think it might be a hardware issue with the new screen. I have attached a screenshot of the problem. Any help is welcomed. Thanks!

Have you checked your screenshot on a different pc?

Whoa! That's very peculiar. The discolorations on my laptop are gone and when I viewed the screenshots, the discolorations disappeared as well. Is there an explanation for this? I know I'm not hallucinating since my friends saw it too.

The screenshots only appeared discoloured to you because you had a problem with your laptop. You were viewing them on a discolured screen.
I would keep an eye on it and if it does it again get dell in to replace your screen again. -
So this is a hardware problem then? I was hoping it was caused by some program I had installed. Bummer...
-
I dont know , id guess it is but i dont know what youve installed or any settings youve altered.
Can you remember if it started before you installed the graphics driver? -
I believe it was after I installed the 270 beta drivers. Today, I installed the official 270 release and the problem still persisted although it seems to temporarily be gone for now. If it reoccurs, would you suggest switching back to the 26X drivers?

Cant hurt to try it if it does it again to see if it fixes it , but as you have just had a new screen it sounds like that could be the problem.

i see nothing wrong with those pictures?

Thanks for all the help Ork! And ajslay, it would appear that the pictures turn up funny only when viewed through my computer. I can't pinpoint why, but that's what we've concluded.
