I realize its almost a year old, but when considering my M11x recently, I stumbled on this review from Tom's Guide.

As quoted below, apparently their review unit had a lid that not "spring" closed.

So I didn't know what to expect when I got my M11x. I guess I thought it would have sort of a loose hinge and the lid would wobble just a bit when closed. I was happy to find that it definitely does "spring" closed and stay closed. :) If I gently lower the lid, it gets to a point about a 1.5" from closed and it gently snaps down with a bit of spring force. If I lift it up less than that 1.5" and let go, it will spring back closed exactly like it should. Maybe this issue was just a oddity found in their review unit. Or maybe they improved on it in the last year??

So what does yours do? Does your M11x "spring" closed? Does the spring take over about the same 1.5" from closed?

I'm not sure I understand this post?
You are upset because the laptop closes by itself?

not at all. Quite the opposite. I was disturbed by what the reviewer said where theirs did not. Just wondering how many out there were like that.
