Does your power brick get hot really fast?

I have been using my M11x for 3 weeks now. Most of the time on battery power. Though I have used the power cord/brick to recharge the M11x I had not felt it before tonight when it was charging and wow I was surprised at how hot it has gotten in 30 minutes  .

Has anyone else noticed this? Could it have anything to do with it being plugged directly into the wall-outlet instead of a surge-protector?

The powerbrick on my M17x is barely warm and it is always plugged into the lappy charging it. It is however plugged into a fancy surge protector, does that make the difference?

    Thanks!

My M11xR1 is plugged into the mains most of the time.

AC Adapter model FA065LS1-01 is only just warm.

Probably wouldn't even keep your hands warm on a winters day.

As I'm not charging the battery (Already 100%) there may be less drawn on power, thus lower heat.

I switched it to my den and plugged into the surge protector and the temps went way down to just warm, like you said. I also was running WoW and had exited the game, so maybe that has something to do with it. I will do more testing tomorrow.

Mine gets fairly warm when it's charging the battery and I'm on it browsing the web. Other than that it gets hot when I'm playing games, but not right away it usually takes about 20mins and it gets really warm but still very touchable.

MIne is sitting at 88 degrees right now (computer plugged in and running, not charging) I will unplug the computer for a bit so I can get you a temp number from it when its actually charging.
