    Hey Guys,

    I keep having this problem.

On my desktop I have the display options which allow me to resize any extended display.

On the laptop, I do not. I would like them there so that I can resize, because currently when connected via HDMI to my TV, it cuts off all around the edge. Basically the start bar and everything are only just visable.

Now I dont have an option to resize the resolution on the TV, and I have changed the drivers on the laptop from the most recent ones to a more stable set of nVidia ones but I still dont get the option.

I have attached pictures to show what I am referring to.

Look in the Intel GPU control panel.

Not really many options in there that would be the same though.

The problem is actually your TV, the aspect ratio of the m11x is 16:10 a laptop display standard, the tv however is 16:9 so you have to set the viewing mode on the tv to scan or just scan, the name may be different depending on your tv. On LG tv's it's "just scan" that should improve your viewing experience for everything.

Some tv's also have a zoom option. Make sure that the picture isn't zoomed in on the tv. When I first connected my laptop to the tv I had that issue. If your tv has multiple hdmi ports, see if one is labeled for pc use. Sometimes not using a pc labeled hdmi port results in cut off screens or limited number of resolution options.

To the poster above me, the M11x actually has a 16x9 resolution. There are more and more laptops and monitors that are going to 16x9.
