Why can't this be a Steam sale
I missed their amazing sale this summer. -
Well, a little off topic but...
For this weekend on steam they are selling Company of Heroes for only 3 bucks. The whole pack is like 13 bucks. -
-
Holy crap! I'd love to get BFBC 2 but have they fix the PB problem yet?
-
Cool, I'm downloading Dead Space. Wanted to try it.
-
The only thing we can do for now is use the older drivers (forgot name) -
-
Double post, sorry, glitch on the forum.
-
thanks in advance -
I bought Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ....where can I get the download link?
-
You can download it here:
http://eastore.ea.com/eadm -
FYI that link will hold all of your EA Store Games within the Download Manager
-
Snapped up Dragon Age which is running fantastic.

Oh, my god, I will *NEVER* buy anything off of EA's Download Store.
They only let you re-download a set number of times. They require you to keep your own backups. Of course, you can have them allow a longer period where they allow you to re-download, for a fee of $6.00. This is a digital download we're talking about here - there are zero holding costs for them, yet they charge you. To me, that is the epitome of "nickel and diming" your customers.
I'd rather go with Steam. Yes, they might not have these exact games at this exact time on sale. But they have sales much more frequently than EA. They allow unlimited re-downloads on an unlimited number of PC's for an unlimited number of times. AND, they actually GIVE you some benefit for using their digital download service (re-downloading, friends list, steam cloud, etc). -

I had the same rant, when they changed there TOS to only let you have a set# of downloads + a time limit of I think 2 years. However despite that I never had any problems downloading Battlefield 2142 multiple times and past that time limit. Maybe they let it slide because I had that game before the TOS change? But they did say it would effect all games even those already purchased. -
That said I decided to skip this one ... I have enough of the games that I didn't miss anything. -
Same with Steam, where can I found the downloaded games so that I will not waste (almost 12hours) my time downloading the games again. -
In EA, your "backup" is the original installation files you downloaded from EA's download site.
In Steam, you back up a game by going to Steam --> Games --> Right-click on game name --> Backup Game Files. -
-
I can't find it either. I've looked everywhere and in the EA manager there is a settings tab and the folders don't exist on either of my computers so I have no idea where it's putting the downloads.
-
If it's after 6 months, then you need to pay EA $6.00. And that's why EA sucks. -
-
How do i transfer a game save from my laptop to my desktop? what & were is this file?
-
Depends on the game.
For which game is this? -
oh sorry hehe Dragon Age
-
It's in your "My Documents" folder. On a Windows 7 or Vista machine, your default location for that folder is C:\Documents\<username>\My Documents\.
--> \My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\
Specifically, it's in \Characters\<character_name>\Saves\. But if you are looking to transfer everything from one computer to another, then copy the entire Characters folder from one machine to another.
An example of a full path:
C:\Users\kent1146\My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\Characters\kent1146\Saves\ -
still can't find where's the BBC2 download files location....anybody? thanks
-
OOOH OHH!! I know this one
C:\ProgramData\EA Core\cache\EADM
Copy the entire game folder, move it to your other computer in the same place, re-open EA download manager and the game with me there with an "install" symbol. -
thanks -
thanks got it working.
