I'm kind of disappointed that they did this and on top of the R3 change on the Canadian website, they added +100$ to the M14X, which was the same price as the US (making it 1300$ stock).

Perhaps if you guys bring this bit of information up when ordering with a rep, you may be able to get a "free" upgrade to 500GB.

Mind you, the 350$ coupon does not work in Canada, which is a shame.

For those living in Ontario, if you're willing to cross into Niagara Falls, NY., you can use services such as CBI USA or other depots and pick it up yourself in order to benefit from the 350$ coupon :)

I'm still debating which unit to choose, but I'm pretty sure I'll be visiting the US again. I did it with my M11X-R1 just fine and since I live 25 minutes away, it should be in and out :p Warranty does work if you do this, guys, since I've already replaced my hinge in Canada. You just have to fill out an international warranty transfer form thingy which you can google.

Although I adore AW units and the warranty service, these "cash grab" deceitful business tactics turn my stomach.

    Cheers!

I'm still undecided at 50/50 right now, but I have a week to decide until payday. That M14X price hike really ticks me off how they increased the price a few hours ago and our dollar is 4.5% better than the USD too. The M11X-R3 is looking better, though.

What a tough decision this is going to be :p

Regardless, I need an AW for the next-day warranty coverage since I detest the 4-6 week mail-in box crap offered by every other company ;)

I'll just keep reading these boards and reviews until next week.
