In every game i play i get a slightly mouse lag when i enable vsync. You would see the mouse movement a bit slower than your hand. In many games if i force vsync in nvidia profile, it doesnt work.
Anyone having this problem beside me? any way to fix it?
this happens with MWF2, Bioshock 2 and many other valve games.

I've had to disable vsync in the game settings for some of my games as well. Both Bioshock installments as well as both L4D. There wasn't any tearing for me, so it wasn't a problem. Are you seeing tearing? If not then don't sweat it.
-
Not much tearing. But many micro tearing, the kind that you dont actually see unless you focus. But once you enable vsync, the games will look 10x better....... this sucks, i want to use vysnc >_<

Do to games support triple buffering? If they do, try enabling it and see if it helps.
-
L4D and L4D2 both support Triple buffering, and with my expearance there is no mouse lag (or at least none that I can notice) and it makes my FPS higher (on avg and in large hordes)
-
It's normal for mouse to have a bit of lag with vsync turn on. As screening that happen on screen needs to wait for your screen. If the game support hardware mouse always make sure that is enabled. Enabled triple buffer will normally help mouse lag when vsync is enabled but that will cause you to further suffer in fps as it is always trying to keep everything synced. So best bet is still to play with vsync off. Unless your game is really suffering with screen tear problem.

I bought Dead Space which has masses of lag unless you disable vsync. Even then its still not great
Played it 10 mins only so waste of money really. unless anyone knows as fix? -
I globally disable vsync in all my systems. Don't really see a need for it and performance is always impacted with it on.
-
Try lowering the settings. With Vsync off and a couple things set to medium, I got around 40-50 FPS through the entire game. I even played through it twice because it's that awesome.
On a general note, Vsync is awful on graphics cards and despite the screen tearing I've found no reason to actually enable it. -
Mouse lag with Vsync turned on is a known issue in many games... particularly games based off of the UE3 engine, and Deadspace.
The quick solution is to disable vsync. If your system pumps out enough framerates, you don't really notice the screen tearing anymore. That is a small price to pay to get rid of the mouse lag, which you DO notice quite a bit. -
When ever a game has the Triple buffer option I find it increases my FPS (And makes it more stable) and there is almost no or is no mouse lag
-
This is not accurate universally - it is dependent on the game.
Play Dead Space or Fallout 3 with Vsync turned on. You will notice mouse lag. Your hardware does not matter - it is the game engine that adds the mouse lag. -
That's just how it is. You gotta put up with either tearing, or mouse lag....you can't have the best of both worlds.
Because Vsync creates a delay in the frame buffer matching it up to the frequency of your monitor.....it's just one of those facts of life. You can enable Triple Buffering to help with the delay.....but it's still noticeable to me.
I NEVER use V-sync....ever. I hate Vsync with the intensity of a thousand burning suns.
TL;DR version:
Vsync=bad. Turn it off & never turn it on again. -
I always have vsync turned on with all my games on my desktop and on my M17x. Never ever had mouse lag. Maybe because those machines are more powerful?
vsync makes the game look a lot more cleaner and sharper. Specially with FPSs where the slightest movement in the screen makes a difference, having Vsync turned on makes things much better to see in far distances.
I tried to force V-sync on Nvidia control panel, that does not work on most games i have tried

edit:nevermind
Enabling Vsync causes mouse to lag
