    Estimated Delivery vs Actual Delivery

    I was wondering if people wouldn't mind sharing (if they remember) their actual delivery dates for the alienware laptops compared to what their estimated one was.

    Just trying to gauge how accurate their prediction is...

    My estimated date was 4/6/11, my received date was 4/5/11.

    If im not mistaken, my m11x came a week early. But then again, I didnt get it when it first came out.

    My experiences with dell have been pretty good about shipping, usuallly 3 - 5 days earlier.

    My last 3 Dell/AW laptop purchases have always come 1 week early.

    Generally 5 business days "in production", followed by 2-3 days from Malaysia, to Texas, to Ontario, Canada.

    It really depends on demand and parts. I have gotten machines a week or so before the original date and ones after the original date. Generally if they are going to be delayed they revise the date at some point. Seems to me when it was early they revised the date when it shipped.

    Ordered 03/16, estimated delivery was 04/04, received it on 04/19. (Stock i7, and the same day the R3 came out :()

    These threads bring a wry smile to my face. Anyone that's ordered an Alienware has gone through the agonizing 'when's it coming...when's it coming period'.

    Honestly the dates are all over the place. My Aurora arrived a week early. My M11x arrived on the estimated delivery date. My previous Alien, the M15 arrived about 2 days early. My first ever arrived (wait for it) 2 months late.

    By and large Dell try really hard these days to be the estimate, usually by about 2 or 3 days, but you really can't complain until the actual predicted delivery date has arrived without a matt black box.

    Both my m17's came a week early. My wife m11x r2 came on the exact date.

    Here is to hoping that my new m11x r3 comes on the May 10th estimate date that I got. Considering every one else got May 16 or later.

    awesome. thanks for all the replies everyone. sounds like i should expect the date and then theres a decent chance i get it a few days later.

    hopefully i dont have to experience what some of you did in a delay!

    ^I'm more or less in the same situation as you. I sent it to my school address but I won't be going back to school for another week or so. Unfortunately, they already sent my bag...Hopefully a friend can pick it up for me.
