Before I bought the m11x I didnt know the hinge problem was so serious and now seeing all these problems I wonder can I extend my warranty on the product? Is it gonna be more expensive?

Guess I can just give dell a call, but I like to hear the forum's opinion :)

yeh im starting to get loose hinge and squeakyness from the hinge too, not sure how much longer it will last, think ive still got a few months of my warrenty left, will the warrenty cover the hinges - because its classed as wear and tear and not an actual problem

First, the hinge is covered by the warranty, I've changed one (screen). Secondly, it actually cost LESS. 3 yrs standard warranty costs more than 300 euros here in France, il costs me 200 euros to cover another 3 years from now.

Are you saying you can get an additional 3 years directly from Dell for only 200 euros after purchase??
