While i'm here, thought i'd mention aswell if anybody can help me out...
As i've been trying to restore this laptop to factory default (or as near as i can get) everytime i restart and press F8... It freezes and is impossible to access.

I dont have alien respawn on here either... just a bit stuck.

Is it not F9 for factory reset?

Do you not have Alienware Respawn backup? Or the windows disc that came with it?

Yeah mine did that once before when I had a corrupt factory partition on my HDD :(

You would have needed to install and use Alien Respawn to create a backup before it went pear shaped sadly.

To install the windows 7 using the CD you will need another computer to create the installation using a USB stick or chip. Here are some simple instruction how if you need to know. I always keep a backup handy it is worth doing once you create one. Once you have reinstalled go onto the Dell website and download all the latest drivers.

If you can somehow boot into Windows, open up a Run window (Windows key + R) and type in msconfig. Check the general tab and make sure it isn't on selective boot. Set it to Normal Startup.

This only applies if you see the Advanced Boot Option window for a quick moment and instantly disappears.
