OK. I tried this demo, and it is unplayable.
It geets freeze, and slowdown..
Please try the demo and give me your impressions. I think that this game is not well optimized. I can play perfectly PES2011 all in high...

Oh no! I was going to download this
-
edit: nevermind i'm an idiot

Just downloaded this from EA's website. Absolutely and positively PLAYABLE... Played through an entire match like butter (2:0, if you wanted to know). Make sure to add fifa.exe to whitelist, without it is a no-go.

The problem is present even in high-specs machines. So I am sure this is a game bad optimized. Not only for the m11x. Maybe in the final version it would be OK. -

I didn't knew that it was out.

I've been playing around with this as the new Fifa 2011 is immense! I'm running the full version using the following:
M11x R1 Pentium SU4100 @ 1.73GHz | 2GB Dual Channel DDR3 | 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M
I am running discrete graphics & using the 258.96 nvidia drivers. I was using the stock dell/alienware drivers but ingame performance wasn't v good.
Getting around 40-60 FPS during gameplay on following settings:
1366 x 768
Medium Detail
MASS: Off
Vsync enabled
I have tried all other settings/different res etc .. but the above seems to balance performance & gfx!
Cut scenes/replays etc .. are a bit laggy & sometimes the action does appear a bit jerky but other users are experiencing this with much more powerful machines (see the ea forums). I think its a windows 7 64bit issue, hopefully they release a patch/fix soon.
I have also followed all optimisation options posted by stevenx (services not running etc ... i get 0% processor useage when idle) & also using gamesbooster.
Cheers

works great on the R2...I set everything to max

Just a quick update for all R1 users. I updated to the new Nvidia 260.63 Beta drivers last night (recommended on the EA forums to reduce ingame lag) & the game now runs very well!! Getting consistent 30-40 FPS using the following settings:
Rendering Quality: High
MSAA Options: 2x
VSync: Enabled
Res: Native 1366x768
This is pretty much maxed out bar the MSAA settings! Finally a Fifa game that is next gen & optimised for PC
I have also set the game speed to fast (this can be done in the game settings), seems to run alot smoother!
Cheers
