Minimum 2GHz Core2Duo, which may be the bottleneck of the M11xR1.

What was the minimum spec of Fallout 3? That runs like a dream on my R1.

I dont know why the hell they don't put a i5m with 2.5ghz or whatever it is in the m11x. They can do it and still get good battery, look at the small acer's with 5650's and the Real i5's.

There's this little thing called engineering. It's about the balance of power, cooling, and cost. You gain power with a NV i5, but you're trading off cooling and cost (debatable on cost, since this laptop is fairly expensive).

I heard in the Bethesda podcast that if you can run Fallout 3, you can run New Vegas. It is the same engine with minor tweaks. I think if you can run Fallout 3 on the R1, New Vegas will be no problem.

Same engine as Fallout 3, which runs amazing on the R1. Should be no problem.

Can't wait for NV. Might have to add some dice to the Pip-Boy M11x OSD icons for the eminent launch. Hmm...

i never loaded fallout 3 on my m11xr2... but new vegas is pretty slow even wtih all the settings turned way down. hopefully it's just driver issues and they'll fix it.

That kind of worries me, I preordered it...I guess I could always play it on my family's desktop.
