I am having such a hard time getting my m11x fixed. Basically, the fan is broken and the system obviously is overheating.

First time I called - They asked me to open the computer and check the fan itself and the connections

Second time - Reported my findings to a new agent, and issued a repair order for the fan and the heatsink

The repairman not only didn't call ahead of time to get a time, but he also showed up at 1:30pm ( while I am obviously working ) and then never showed up again. I also never got a confirmation email

Third time - Put on hold for 1 hour

Forth time - Apparently the "systems were not working" and I was told to call tomorrow

Does it normally take this long for support to actually do their job?

Depends, from my experience even when I was told to call back tomorrow, I just called back a bit later to speak to another tech, some of them are really clueless about what they're doing but there are some that help you out right away since they're experienced. Either call back and try to talk to another tech or ask to speak to a supervisor.
