It’s been years of wishing I’d never sold my M11x R3’s but one finally came up and I managed to add it to the collection again. Pretty happy with the price considering how rare they are down in Australia. especially the Nebula Red.

Nice. I still have my nebula red r3 i7. Not sure I’ll ever part with it unless the price is right lol.

Thanks. I could flip it for a small profit but I've always regretted selling my other ones so I may have to hold onto it.
Exciting day! Forgot just how awesome these little machines are.

I'm really tempted to try and flip it for a quick buck but then I'd be back in the position of wanting one again.

I like my little guy so much I bought extra red parts and screen. Looking for a spare motherboard just to have with i7/540 lol. Great little machine. Would like to see them make a dedicated gpu m11 r4 lol

As much as I hate modern BGA machines, I would have to grab a new 11 if they did one.

I am asking because I am genuinely curious.
Btw I wouldnt sell it, its just not worth the small profit margin you would gain from it and its definitely a good price you paid.
I have has several gaming laptops and I was never really happy with their quality, for example the w110er had a hinge design flaw which is unfixable and in general ghe m11x is a great durable machine.
I know the dilemma btw, I have a m11x r3 in perfect condition (like new nearly), paid a similiar price as you but I just cant sell it, not even for 500 euros plus -
I did end up selling the M11x. I wish I could have kept it but it would have sat in the cupboard and the cash came in handy. I will probably never find one in as good condition ever again though. It would have been 95% flawless. Just a few very light scratches on the bottom.gamba66 likes this. -

This is what I remember wishing my AW M11X was more like back in the day. It was very cool, but could have been smaller. What will make or break this concept is a a good keyboard attachment

Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to hide this one from the wife if/when it is released.
I really hope they are working on the issues with lunar light and grubby little fingers because this thing looks nice. -
Brought out my old R1 from 2010 today just to make sure it’s working - I do this once every 1.5 years. Still looking as good as new, no grease marks on the keyboard/trackpad or ware of any kind. Pleased that I likely have the most well preserved R1 out there. I never used the keyboard or trackpad prior to its retirement and always connected external peripherals whenever it was in use.
On a side note, although the appearance hasn’t aged badly, the quality of the LCD screen has. Geez it looks terrible compared to today’s laptops.
I now use a Zephyrus GX501 (with a GTX1080) as my daily driver.Last edited: Jan 25, 2020Mr. Fox likes this.
