Hey, i was just wondering if it was possible to use any third party software (or maybe even in the bios?) to overclock the CPU above the 1.73Ghz that is set into the code. Maybe something like 2Ghz?

I'm not sure if this is possible or not, as nobody seems to have said anything about it. Thanks.

Haha, i just went through the thread and my head is spinning a little.

So basically, in order to achieve an OC of 1.9Ghz, there must be soldering done on the chip?

Pretty much, and because no one has had the cojones to try it out, even that remains a mystery as to weather or not it will work. Truth is no one has tried it because the gain doesn't out weigh the risk. Of course, I'd love to OC further, but the laptop does everything I need it to do.
