Ok this is for the non existant utube videos of FSX on the M11x. How are the frame rates? and maybe a suggestion as to what type of portable gamepad controller for flying sims / games.
Ive Ordered an WINGMAN RUMBLE PAD LOGITECH USB VIBRATION FEEDBACK . Has Slider for throttle axis.

I too am an FSX fan and everything on ultra runs beautiful (weather on very high)
not sure about your other question XD -

I use a logitech G940 for flight sim duty.
G25 for racing sim duty.
G13 for FPS/TPS games
And TrackIR for head-tracking in every game that supports it.
And occasionally, the ole' Xbox 360 pad. (If the game is a bad console port)
I hated the tiny joystick on my G13, so I cracked it open & retrofitted a stick from an old original Xbox "controller s" I had laying around.
muuuuuuuccccch better.
Depending on which computer I'm at, I use one of three mice.
Logi G9 (original model)
Roccat Kova
Or a Razer Orochi (On my M11x)
I usually use a Ratzpadz XT for my mousing surface. It's a hard thick plastic with good gliding capabilities.
Although I carry a Roccat Sota in my bag with the M11x cause it's large & flexible but supportive & glides really well
Keyboards, once again depending on which computer I'm at
Logi G15(original blue model)
Logi G11
Logi G19
I think that's everything, although I've probably forgotten something.
*edit*
Oh yeah, I use a 3DConnexion Spacepilot Pro for my CAD stuff & sometimes I use the screen on it to display game or FRAPS info.
aaaand the no-frills version, SpaceNavigator for my 2nd workstation
I've actually set up both space pucks before to use in-game.....but it was too strange a feeling for me, so I stick to CAD with them now.
When I'm simming, tho, I usually have 3 screens hooked up (Matrox Triplehead2go digital edition) It adds to the immersion with 3 screens + headtracking. Not to mention a nice X-fi soundcard with a good pair of Sennheiser headphones. I've been thinking of getting some Fresnel lenses for my triple monitors to hide the bezels. I just gotta get around to making a frame for that.
With my workstations I usually stick to dual monitors, I do some light gaming on them when I'm bored (stuff like Portal/world of goo) But I have so many monitors & I switch them so often I can't really say for sure what I'll be using next week. Tho it's usually between dual 20" monitors & a big 30" 2560x1600
As for a portable flight sim joystick. I think you made a pretty good choice. I used to have a wingman.....but I prefer having force-feedback (not rumble) for my flight sims now. With force feedback, you can feel those stalls coming before they happen. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just get something cheap......cause if you want a GOOD stick you'll be paying big bux for it. I eventually settled for my G940. It's cheaper than most high-end HOTAS systems & it has force feedback. It's not amazing, but it's pretty good for the price. I used to have a Saitek X52 (& the X52 pro) but those both broke within 12 months of use. As funny as spastic rudder controls are the first time it happens it quickly gets old, then frustrating.....then out comes the sledgehammer for satisfaction.
I have yet to try FSX on my M11x....tho i don't think it would run very well.....that game is pretty beastly.
Tho, I have used DCS:Blackshark & DCS:Warthog on my M11X & they run pretty good. I tweaked the settings for a pretty constant 30fps. Mostly medium settings. -
On my Main Pc i just use a Wingman Strike force 3D .. It just seems there arent any good Game Pads that has the throttle axis anymore.. Would love to have a forced feed back flight yoke for main pc wonder who makes one? But then id want to 9 screens, build a cockpit and add pneumatics to it. LOLS
GamePad FSK Flight Simulator is it ok what controller do you use and for what games..
