Games that wont work on the m11x

seriously guys unless a game is to old to play on windows 7 the m11x can play anything if you know how to tweak your settings try google

 

Dolphin emulator. M11x is not able to "emulate"the games correctly(Just to make people know, I download it already having the original games, just to test them on the m11x)

 

i find that the retail version splinter cell double agent doesn't work: the game just crashes when you try to load a level. i hope the steam version isn't the same.

 

m11x cannot run wii emilator? and what about crysis 2 and CoD Balck Ops?... all those in the R3, ty.

 

ARMA 1 and 2 run like crap. The game sucks as well.

Company Of Heroes runs below average, but it is unnoticeable because it's a RTS.

Medieval 2 Total War lags when you have more then 10000 units.

Call Of Duty Black Ops...self explanatory. Crap, runs like crap. No optimization helps it.

Unreal Tournament 3 runs okay, LOTS of stuttering. If you run a PhysX map, get ready for 10FPS!

Fallout 3 New Vegas: Stuttering. Lots. But still fun

Crysis 1...self explanatory. GFX monsta! Runs pretty meh, and it has crackling and popping sound. Really bad.

 

Huumm, so, which real nice game it can run? I'm talkin about an AW m11x R3, 8gbRAM,500 HDD 7200, nvidia 2gb, i7 SB and stuff

 

CoD: Black Ops ran at about 40 fps on my r1. Maybe the first few days of release it ran like crap, but after the optimization patch the game runs relatively well.

Crysis 1 can run on medium, but yes, crackling sounds were present.

 

Yeah, it runs at 40FPS in a normal scene but in a small fire fight it gets down to 21FPS.

Crysis 1 runs good-ish at medium.Highly advise you to do some tweaks. Crackling sounds turned me off from playing the game.

 

Just thought to add that useing PDMG add-on aircraft with FSX is not going to work. The frame rates are unbareably slow 9-17 fps.

Of course this is on a M11x R1 your milage on a M11x R3 may vary.

 

Weighing in on Fallout 3 and Fallout NV on an R3.... smooth play on the R3 in high settings.
Left for Dead 1 and 2, smooth plays on high res.

While I have not tried Metro 2033 on this new machine, I would suspect based on prior plays and evidence that it will be a low to medium res game requirements to get out of the Crysis of frame rate reduction.

 

I am looking into the m11x i5 2537m 2.3 turbo boost with the geforce GT 540m graphics card, I will be getting it for 900 dollas us the agent gave me a 100 dollar discount.

Will this game play empire total war(single player) and arma 2(online) very smoothly with no problems, if not what other notebook would you suggest to suit my needs.

and with that i5 I would be getting a potential of 4.6 ghz because it has 2 cores running at 2.3; Correct?

is this version im talking about considered an r2 or r3?

Err, I don't think you can add the cores together like that. And that's an R3 because the graphics card is a 540m. R1 and R2 have the 335m.

 

No thats what people on ebay say to trick people stuck in the past who know nothing about computers into thinking its amazing.

If two cores are running it will not even run at 2.3GHz. 2.3Ghz i max turbo boost when only one core or 2 threads are being used. 2Cores with hyper threading = 4 Virtual Cores. It can therefore calculate 4 things simultaneously unlike the single core processors of old which would only be able to do one calculation at a time.

 

Is this proccesor powerful in general then? I want something isn't gonna be shabby in 2 years(I know compputers become obsolete when they hit the shelf)

 

This thing will run anything at high setting if its plugged in on high power performance settings on the pattery power I have a m11x r3 with 8gb dual channel ram a i7 2gb nvidia graphics card and 750 gb hard drive pretty much full specs that it can have and it runs like a champ mines was 1458 with taxes and shipping included its apowerful beast. and civ4 runs without breaking a sweat on high settings

 

Most new games run really bad. I just wish GTAIV would run good on this machine.

 

Damn these low voltage CPUs. Anywho, I just hope BF3 can run smoothly.... I might cry in a corner if it doesn't

 

I thought that GTAIV ran well on the m11x after some patch was released? ive seen videos on youtube and it ran quite good.

 

Just cause your R1 might run new games badly like you stated dont scare off some of the newer guys getting the R3 which will run any new game just fine on high or better.

 

Um...no. The difference in the R1 to the R3 is very little, of course the R3 is better but you will see 4 frames improvement. Most games that have released in this year run under low. You could probably run them at medium, you can run them at high if you don't mind a FPS under 19.

 

Are you serious Look at what my R3 benched??? MOH runs on high and is not at 19 frames. If you think the diffrences are very little show me a R1 that can break 10k marks and you tell the world there almost the same. And you claim that i will only get like 4 frames more then your POS where do you get this???? Ive owned an R1 and still do and the performance diffrence is night and day when comparing the 2.

 

Have to jump in the difference detween the R1 and R2 is quite large, I have both and can play GTAIV smoothly on the R2. The abilities of Turbo Boost should not be underestimated.

 

I still dont get why they don't put full voltage CPUs in alienware's M11x... it's supposed to be a gaming machine. Maybe R4.

 

OMG another person running something other then the dated R1 also says the diffrence is large. So I wonder do we listen to someone with an R1 or the 2 people 1 with the R2 and 1 with the R3 beast? I think the latter wins. Thanks for chiming in eth182 you help my point.

 

I've not had an R1 but my R3 is a beast. I've yet to run into something it can't run smoothly on medium or up settings. Granted I don't play things like CoD or Crysis, but RIFT, WoW, Arkham Asylum, and New Vegas, to toss out a few, run great. Even though the R1 might be able to be OC'd pretty well, it is still a dated C2D and weaker graphics card.

 

Now Rockwell B1 go bench that beast and let me know what you got!
